Under the economic crisis, even the industry-leading Las Vegas has been hugely affected.  Therefore, the global casino industry has been searching for the market with more business possibilities and expandability, and, the Las Vegas in Asia, Macau, is one of the most popular destinations.

Dr. Stanley Ho expressed his faith in the Macau casino business, stating that, "The most crucial part of the industry's development is the steady and prosperous economy.  Having China as the base of operations, the future of Macau is very promising."

AGA President and CEO, Frank Fahrenkopf Jr. also said, "Macau is the ideal bridge for all the businesses around the world to enter the Asia and China market.  It is the major reason for hosting G2E Asia."  As a result, most of the products displayed at the expo were adjusted to suit the China market.  Not only where most of the themes Chinese oriented, but also the interfaces and language used were translated into Simplified Chinese Characters.

Mitsuhiro Miyazaki, the Market Development Manager of Japanese amusement machine tycoon, KONAMI, confidently stated that he thought Asia still had a lot of potential in casino developments.  KONAMI had joined both G2E in US and G2E Asia.  Mitsuhiro Miyazaki believed that the sales of the slot machines would be benefited by the growing Asian market.

The rise of the China market has attracted various businesses around the world, further solidifying the prominent position of Macau in the international gambling business.  In Asia, there are also the upcoming casinos in Singapore and Korea.  However, Frank Fahrenkopf Jr. stated, “Macau is still the best and the most competitive gambling location in Asia.  We believe Macau will remain the future Asian gambling center.  The next G2E Asia will take place on June 9~10,   We welcome everyone in the business to join.”
